Good tip, using a hybrid for chipping. I wonder though, why is a hybrid better than, say, a pitching wedge or even a lob wedge if it's a raised green? I usually select a wedge with a loft that I feel is needed to control backspin or rollout.
Same question, what loft? Otherwise great drill?
Aimee, what loft do you recommend for chipping with a hybrid?
Might take me some practice to get this shot down, but I like it.
Creative idea here!
which hybrid do you recommend or just experiment? I have 3-6.
I like what Blair stated in the lesson regarding hitting a draw. What I try to explain when trying to hit a draw is ball spin. By setting up with a closed stance, it will put some side spin on the ball that will cause a draw. The opposite is true for a fade. The other trick for a draw is that I take my clubhead back more inside and extend out for more draw.
