Martin - Have Taylor made Stealth Hybrids (3,4,5). Cannot hit them to save my life!!!!! They come out low left hook worm burners or straight worm burners out on the course. Where is the ball position for these (forward, middle, back middle of stance)? What brand hybrid do you use? This is killing my game this year even though I finally broke 80. Desperately need the distance of these hybrids to help me on par 5's, long par 4's and obviously muffed tee shots that are popped up only 100 yds. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Ed, typically the ball is played left of center for the right handed golfer. It sounds like your club face is arriving to the ball, shut. This happens when you don’t rotate and relocate onto your left foot. Hang back and you’ll flip the face closed.
I’m currently working with my son just took up the game and I’m trying to find a drill to help him to hit in front of the ball. When I set up I look about 1 inch in front of the ball and focus on that area and that works for me, but I have many years of plan experience, so what type of drill could you recommend for a new golfer to develop good habits early? Thank you in advance.
I am having trouble with a consistent strike with my hybrids. How would you suggest to set up for a hybrid?
Hi Paul, anytime the ball is on the ground, we want the bottom of our swing shape and club to brush the grass slightly in front of the ball. So play the ball slightly forward of center in your stance.

Martin are you still working with GolfPass? I haven't seen your instruction lately.
It was a great run! I’m glad you enjoyed my time on GolfPass. Great group of coaches. Thanks for the note.
When hitting my hybrid I tend to hook it to the left way to much. I have to grip real hard with the last 3 fingers on my left hand to compensate for the hook.
Hello Scott, sorry for the delay. Hybrid clubs tend to be. “hooky,” and why many slicers love them. You may not need that type of club and can rely more on stronger irons.
What seems to be the main cause to why I am so inconsistent hitting my fairway metal woods? I use to be a very good fairway wood striker if the ball
You club delivery is too steep, downwards on to the ball, or possibly too shallow, behind the ball. Tough for me to know your issue.
We need a side view of the shot please
Agreed, it would be helpful
I have a tendency to "top" the ball with my hybrid(and others). How do you suggest I address the fix?
Hello Gary, watch today’s tip from Alex Riggs. He discusses the ideal approach of the club head to the ball. Very helpful. All the best

Bit fan of Tour Striker . I need a entire series on haw to hit my hybrid. I have purchased your 10 step video on striking irons, but is there one for hybrids?
Thank you, if your irons are functional yet you struggle w the stronger lofts of hybrids my guess is you are too steep. Please search the archives for “shallowing” drills. Cheers
